The Antibiotic Guardian Conference & Awards are organised by for 4 All of Us on behalf of Public Health England
Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats facing us today!
Public Health England has established the Antibiotic Guardian pledge campaign in 2014, calling on everyone in the UK, the public and healthcare community to become antibiotic guardians by choosing one simple pledge about how they will make better use of these vital medicines. As part of the campaign, Public Health England have commissioned 4 All of us to host manage an annual Awards and Conference on June 27th 2018.
The Awards celebrate best-practice on tackling Antimicrobial Resistance through Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Prevention and Control from across the UK (and Europe around the world). Established in 2016, the Awards have become a date in the diary for all leaders on Antibiotic Stewardship. In 2018 we are expecting over 200 applications! Along with the established annual awards, Public Health England will be hosting the first annual Antibiotic Guardian Conference which builds on the regional roadshows which have taken place since 2016. The Conference will examine the latest guidance, support and progress on Antibiotic Stewardship including national policy announcements.
Call to action!
Enter the 2018 Antibiotic Guardian Awards and submit an abstract for poster presentation at the 2018 Antibiotic Guardian Conference and Awards.
Choose one simple pledge about how you'll make better use of antibiotics and help save this vital medicine from becoming obsolete. To ensure that the information and knowledge on Antibiotic Stewardship is disseminated to those practising healthcare across the nation, a series of awareness and educational events have been developed.
The National Conference will provide guidance, resources and information for practitioners on topics associated with antibiotic awareness and stewardship. The Awards will provide an opportunity to recognise and reward best-practice within Antibiotic Stewardship across the UK and Europe.
